Are you undecided about your career direction....or at a crossroads? Feeling stuck? On April 1, we’re hosting a different kind of career workshop.

Dinorah Meyer M.S., NCC, RYT ’82, has provided career counseling to students at UC Berkeley since 2004 and clients in private practice since 1999. In these roles she helps clients work through a wide range of career development tasks, including self-assessment, job searching, managing workplace challenges, and pursuing advancement, among others.

Dinorah earned her M.S. in Counseling at SFSU and is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT). She integrates philosophical principles and somatic practices from yoga with Western counseling approaches to engage each client as a whole, interconnected person – mind, body, heart and soul – in exploration and problem-solving.

In This Workshop

With inspiration from yoga’s chakra system, Dinorah will guide participants through activities to help them tap into their authentic selves, access self-knowledge, and gain new insights and perspectives. Through guided breathing and visualization, physical postures and movement, journaling and discussion, participants will explore when they feel most at home and confident, tune in to their desires and motivations, access feelings of personal power, envision where they want to make an impact, consider what they want to communicate about themselves or express through their work, and connect with their intuition and a larger sense of purpose, cultivating readiness to make coherent life decisions and take action.

Since the workshop will include some physical poses and gentle movement, wearing comfortable clothing is recommended.

Prior experience with yoga is not necessary for this workshop.

This workshop is open only to UHS alumni and will not be recorded.
