Hello UHS Community,

Throughout the Head of School search process, our search partner, RG175, will help guide and support our community in selecting its next Head of School. As a next step in this process, RG175 will be on site at UHS next week to gather community feedback from all of our constituents: parents, faculty, staff, administration, and students.

We wanted to introduce the 4-person team who is supporting our Head of School search:

Tom Hudnut, former Head of School for 36 years (Harvard Westlake, The Branson School)
Marcia Spiller, former Head of School 20 years (former chair of the NAIS, Head of School Woodward Academy)
Deborah Reed, 40 year educator (Seven Hills School, Polytechnic)
Coreen Hester, 20 year Head of School (The Hamlin School, American School in London)

Together, their team has significant Head of School search experience and has placed over 70 Heads of School. They are also attuned to the placement for a Bay Area community and bring a network of national and international contacts. RG175 will be providing advice concerning format, procedure, and best practices throughout the search process.

Additionally, UHS trustees have formed a committee in support of this work, which will be led by Nehal Raj and Kimberly Fullerton ’81.
